AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister YS Sharmila, who has announced her entry to Telangana politics, is said to have locked the date to announce the name of her new political party.
As per reports, Sharmila is most likely to announce the launch date on April 9 at a public meeting in Khammam. Currently, she is holding intimate meetings with late Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy fans district-wise in the state.
Reports suggest the new party’s name could be either YSR Congress Telangana Party or YSRC Rajanna Rajyam. Once the name is unveiled, the party leaders would focus on the party flag and its agenda.
Sources said Sharmila is planning to form an Adhoc committee with 11 members for each of the 17 parliamentary constituencies. She will begin the party activities on May 14 from Lotus Pond.
