YS Sharmila is strictly campaigning for the victory of YSRCP in the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.
In her recent campaigning in Denduluru, Sharmila came up with some controversial comments against Chintamaneni Prabhakar, which are now receiving backlashes from all over.
Sharmila campaigned in Denduluru for YSRCP MLA candidate Abbai Chowdary. As Chintamaneni is contesting from TDP in the same constituency, she said that everyone is aware of Chintamaneni’s cruel behavior with the women. She recollected the incident when the TDP leader physically attacked the lady MRO Vanajakshi and questioned whether he is a human being or an animal?
Not stopping there, Sharmila also questioned whether Chitamaneni was born to a woman or not? doesn’t he have sisters and is his wife not a woman? These comments are now going viral on the social media. It is obvious that Sharmila came in support of an insulted woman, but at the same time, she should have maintained the dignity of the women related to Chintamaneni, at least for being a woman, the netizens opined.
A few others opined that it is shameful on the part of Sharmila for using a woman victim’s incident for their political mileage. If she had really felt for Vanajakshi, she should have responded to it, when the incident happened but not now. It is clearly understood that Sharmila is trying to unnecessarily trying to politicize the issue for their personal benefits.
However, the YSRCP cadres are backing Sharmila, saying that there’s nothing wrong in she making such statements, as her intention was only to support an insulted woman but no personal grudge on Chintamaneni.
It is to be recollected that the issue between Chintamaneni and Vanajakshi has been resolved long back, when the duo greeted each other during Chitamaneni’s visit to a hostel in Denduluru.
