Reports have long suggested that Yash, famed for his role in KGF, will star in the grand retelling of the Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Yash has not only confirmed his participation but also announced his role as a producer alongside Namit Malhotra.
In a recent conversation, Yash expressed his ambition to elevate Indian cinema to an international platform. This quest led him to Los Angeles, where he sought collaboration with a VFX studio, only to discover it was headed by fellow Indian, Namit Malhotra. This meeting sparked the beginning of a significant partnership.
After much discussions over various concepts, the duo settled on the “Ramayana”. Yash feels a deep connection with the epic and had envisioned a unique take on the narrative. This shared vision strengthened their decision to co-produce this epic saga.
The film casts Yash as the formidable Ravana, with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi portraying the iconic roles of Lord Rama and Sita, respectively. The ensemble cast includes Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, and Sheeba Chaddha, each assuming pivotal characters in this ambitious project.
