The winners of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards South 2020 were announced on the occasion of the New Year. The foundation honoured talented stars from the four film industries, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
However, the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards have been sent to the winners directly at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Best Actor: Naveen Polishetty
Best Actress: Rashmika Mandanna
Best Film: Jersey
Best Director: Sujeet for Saaho
Now, Naveen Polishetty took to social media to announce that he received the award today. He wrote, “This came home today. DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARDS BEST ACTOR AWARD for Agent. The show couldn’t happen cause of COVID so they sent it home. No one was at home. So our watchman received it. Becoming the first one in our building to receive a Best Actor award #AgentSaiSrinivasaAthreya.”
