Vishwak Sen aggressively promoted the promotions of Dhamki and even projected it as a pan-Indian film. Jr NTR was bought in as the chief guest for the promotional pre-release event.
However, Dhamki has failed to pack the desired punch at the box office. The film got a decent start on the Ugadi day but stuttered at the box office from the very next day.
Dhamki couldn’t give a Dhamki at the box office by setting the ticket counters on fire. But instead, it went silent right from the very second day of the release, much to the shock of those involved.
The film had a decent buzz prior to the release and the Almost Padipoyinde Pilla was a decent hit as well. But none of this worked as the film turned out to be a slow runner at the box office. It couldn’t make the most of the early momentum. Wonder what could be the reason?
