Akhil Akkineni’s Agent has opened to very poor reviews and utterly poor reception from the common audience. The film started on a disaster note at the box office with very weak revenues in almost all the major circuits.
Amidst this terrible fate for Agent, there are reports that the makers spent Rs 2 crores on the core story for the film.
Vakkantham Vamsi, a trusted writer for Surender Reddy who had associated with the latter for blockbusters like Race Gurram and Kick, was paid Rs 2 crores for the story of Agent.
After watching the film, many people are of the opinion that the film has no story at all and it is simply an amalgamation of one pointless scene after another.
This brings us to the question – Why did the makers spend Rs 2 crores on a story that has no value? The story is an outdated one without even an iota of freshness. This has led to a talk that the makers wasted another Rs 2 crore simply just by paying Vamsi for a scrappy piece of story.
Agent is now set to become one of the biggest box office disasters of all time in Tollywood.
