Telangana Chief Minister KCR earlier said that he would give a return gift to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, when the latter contested in the Telangana assembly elections.
While KCR hinted that he would take part in AP elections, no such active move from him has been recognized as of yet. However, in the recent times TRS working president KTR opened up directly that they are in support with YSRCP and even Jagan, in one of his political meetings has clearly stated that there’s nothing wrong in having a relation with the TRS.
Right after Jagan and KTR came up with such statements, TDP took the advantage of it and tried to spread the Andhra sentiment among the public, which worsened the situation of YSRCP. So Jagan had to then move away from the Telangana leaders, unwilling to face the bad fate from the Andhrites.
Adding to it, Chandrababu stayed away from Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, as warned by KCR and so with a mutual understanding, even the TS CM might not have interfered in the AP elections, the analysts opine.
Meanwhile, KCR is eyeing on Prime Minister’s seat and is making his best efforts to establish the third front in Delhi. At this point of time, if there’s a government in Andhra Pradesh that supports him, it would naturally help him to pave a smoother way to get on to the bigger position.
As Chandrababu Naidu would obviously not cooperate with KCR in the issue, the TRS leaders are keen on bringing down the TDP government in AP and make sure YSRCP comes to power in the state. Reportedly, the TRS political experts are helping Jagan in the background, in every way that makes his party be the winner in the Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
