It is being said that TDP MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar is the most targeted leader by the ruling YSRCP government at the moment. Earlier Ravi Kumar was asked to shift the loyalties to the YSRCP but he denied their offer. It seems the high command still holds the grudge on this leader.
So, it seems, as a part of the revenge, the leases for his quarries were cancelled by the AP government. Actually, Gotti Pati Ravikumar is going ahead with unstoppable victories making Addanki as his base in Prakasam district. Gottipati Ravikumar, who won from the YCP in the 2014 elections, later joined the TDP. He contested as a TDP candidate in the 2019 elections and won from Addanki.
With the YCP coming to power, there has been too much pressure on him to join the YSRCP. In addition to that, Minister Balineni Srinivasulu is a dear person to Gottipati. Eventually, Ravi Kumar didn’t nod to any offer and that paved a way for his rival Karanam Balaram to enter the ruling party.
But recently, the government canceled the lease of 11 quarries belonging to Gottipati Ravikumar and his close associates. Another former MLA Potula Rama Rao was also canceled the quarry license. The Department of Mining has announced that the quarries are being terminated for violating the rules and regulations in the management of the quarries.
Prakasam district has some of the rarest granite deposits in the world. Granite quarries in Cheemakurthi, Ballikurava, and Martur are earning crores of rupees for Gottipati Ravikumar. The Mining Department initially imposed a penalty of hundreds of crores of rupees. However, Gottipati Ravikumar approached the High Court and obtained interim orders.
So, it seems like this is never-ending harassment from the AP government towards the TDP MLAs who denied joining the ruling party. So, what do you think will be the course of action for Gottipati Ravi Kumar.
