Now, Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has heaped praise on Rajasthan Royals’ new recruit Chetan Sakariya who impressed everyone with his game on Monday night against Punjab Kings in match No 4 of IPL.
The 22-year-old had dismissed Mayank Agarwal (12), KL Rahul (91) and Jhye Richardson (0) and registered best figures of 3/31 on his IPL debut.
Sakariya’s brilliant performance impressed Virender Sehwag as the latter lauded the youngster’s daring approach and compared his spirit with former India left-arm seamers Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra.
Sehwag also revealed that Sakariya’s brother died of suicide a few months ago, but his parents didn’t tell him for 10 days as he was playing the SMA trophy.
