Vijayasai Reddy used to be a close confidante and used to take care of a lot of things for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mogan Reddy. However, in recent times, it looks as though things have changed a lot, with Vijaysai Reddy not only being sidelined by Jagan, but Vijaysai going almost completely silent.
Vijayasai used to handle CM Jagan’s all activities in Tadepalli residence earlier, but he lost his prominence after Jagan’s advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy was brought in his place. Vijaysai was sent to Visakhapatnam by Jagan and was made the party’s in charge of the North Andhra districts. Now, it looks as though Jagan is about to replace Vijayasai with Sajjala once again.
Four Rajya Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh will turn vacant in June this year, with the retirement of YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy and TDP MPs Sujana Chowdhary, TG Venkatesh and Suresh Prabhu. Vijaysai’s Rajya Sabha MP seat is likely to be given to Sajjala, as Jagan reportedly wants Sajjala to handle the relations in Delhi, with the BJP bigwigs. So far, Vijayasai has been doing this for Jagan, but sources say that the AP CM is not happy with Vijaysai’s working style, which is why he decided to replace him with Sajjala.
