Starring debutant actors Panja Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty, Uppena hit the screens on February 12 and become one of the biggest hits of the year in Tollywood. It is not an exaggeration to say that Uppena did extremely well at the box office and broke some previous records of the star actors in Tollywood.
Helmed by the debutant director Buchi Babu Sana, the romantic drama is still running in some areas in Telugu states. However, before the film got released, there were speculations that Uppena will head for the OTT released. Even at a point of time, the makers wanted to go for the digital release. But having the second thoughts and patience had helped the team to bag a big success at the box office post pandemic break.
The latest update is that Uppena is all set to release on the streaming giant Netflix. As per the agreement, the makers of the film are releasing it on 24th March 2021. Well, this is definitely big news for the fans, who are waiting for it to release on the OTT platform.
Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi played a key role in it.
