Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty’s debut film Uppena is having its dream run at the box office. The film, which entered the profit zone in almost all areas within three days, also successfully registered good numbers on the weekdays, on par with the numbers of star heroes’ films. However, on 6th day, the film had witnessed a drop in collections.
On its opening day, Uppena collected a record-breaking Rs 9.17 crore for a debut hero. On days 2, 3, 4 and 5, the film accumulated Rs 6.86 crore, Rs 8.01 crore, Rs 4.13 crore and Rs 3.1 crore respectively from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

The film touched the 30 crore share mark in AP and Telangana on the fifth day of its release. It crossed the 20 crore mark within three days and brought full profits to the distributors. Trade sources say that Uppena will touch the 40 crore mark significantly.
