Union Minister of information and broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar today announced standard operating procedures (SOP) specially on measures for resuming work in the media production industry. “‘Contact Minimisation’ remains the main objective of the SOP. The SOP ensures adequate distancing at shoot spot, other closed work places which contains measures including proper sanitization, crowd management and provision for protective equipments.”
This will be assured by following social distancing and sharing of props, PPEs for hair stylists and make-up artists among others. The general principles will aid the makers create a safe working environment for cast and crew.
Few of the precautionary measures of SOP include:
- Use of Arogya Setu app shall be advised
- Thermal screening at entry points; only asymptomatic persons allowed at the premises
- Physical distancing of 6 ft at all times as far as feasible
- Crowd management at parking lots and outside premises to ensure distancing
- Specific markings with sufficent distance to manage queues
- Provision for posters/standees/Av media for display of covid -19 rules
- Seating arrangements with social distancing
- No contact transactions for tickets etc using online bookings e wallet or QR scanners
- Frequent sanitisation at work place
- 6 feet distancing at studios, shoot locations and editing rooms.
- Scenes, sequences, camera locations, crew positions, seating and catering to follow distancing
- Minimum cast and crew during shoot
- Visitors/audience not allowed
- Coordination with local authorities to manage spectators during outdoor shoots
- Resting/stay-over facilities to ensure physical distancing
- Designated entry and exit points of the shoot locations
