Undavalli Arun Kumar is a very close companion to the former united AP Chief Minister YS Raja Sekhar Reddy when Congress government was in force. Though Arun Kumar is politically weak, his knowledge and suggestions on many matters made him a very valuable leader for Congress party.
Now, times have changed and YSR’s son Jagan became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Since Jagan was crowned as CM, Undavalli started talking in favor of Jagan and literally wiped out the opposition with his powerful speeches in media. It always seemed like Undavalli has Jagan’s back all the time.
All of a sudden this senior politician took U-turn and spoke out few words that troubled Jagan big time. Arun Kumar said that “even though CBN overstated Amaravti’s construction works, there have been notable works done in the capital city.” Already secretariat and assembly are situated in Amaravati and there is no way Jagan can move the capital from Amaravati to anywhere else.
Undavalli firmly said that there is no way for Jagan to change the capital to Vizag city after Modi laid the foundation and gave funds for the construction of capital in Amaravati. “Agreeing with Amaravati in the past and now changing the capital all of sudden is not a joke,” Undavalli added. So, the people are saying that Jagan would be definitely baffled with these statements from a person like Undavalli Arun Kumar as he has a tough time ahead to prove that his words are wrong.
