AP CM Jagan, who is very unhappy with the Legislative Council, has decided to abolish the Council to a select committee citing the capitals bill — keeping in mind that the bills introduced in the Legislative Assembly in the future may go to the Council and then sent for selection.
From the news that Jagan would abolish the Legislative Council, Pilli Subhash Chandrabose and Mopidevi would reportedly lose their cabinet posts currently serving as Deputy Chief Ministers and Marketing Ministers.
Both politicians nominated by AP CM, YSRCP Supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
While Subhash Chandra Bose’s term will expire by March 2021, Venkat Raman’s term will expire by 2023. Nara Lokesh’s term will expire in 2023.
The leader duo poses no threat to their positions after the bill. After being approved by the Parliament, he would lose his post within six months following the President’s assurances.
Reportedly, Subhash Chandrabose has requested Chief Minister Jagan to abolish the Council.
