A tragic incident has come to light in Amravati, in the ongoing peasant agitation in Guntur district, and another farmer died of a heart attack. The name of the farmer is Idukupalapati Venkateswara Rao (70). Members of his family have expressed concern over the death of the farmer.
Venkateswara Rao has given his 20 acres of land for building the capital at Amravati. Amravati to Visakhapatnam was in crisis after the secretariat shifting announced.
He breathed his last after suffering a heart attack after participating in the movement since last month. On Wednesday, under the change of capital from Amravati, a 60-year-old woman, and a farmer, Ambati Shivaiya (70), also died of a heart attack.
On the other hand, farmers of 29 villages did not celebrate their Makar Sankranti festival and are going on a hunger strike, continuing their agitation against the three capitals.
Former CM Chandrababu Naidu also canceled the Makar Sankranti celebrations and participated in the peasant movement along with family members.
