Former Congress Committee President Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Tuesday accused KCR to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy held a meeting to attract fans of former Chief Minister Y Rajesh Shekhar Reddy in the municipal elections.
In a statement, he has questioned that without the presence of officials, a meeting between two chief ministers is held for political gain only. If it was for the state, all the officers would also be present.
He also said that there is no other intention to meet for five hours but to entice fans only for the upcoming municipal election. Lakshmaiah also noted that the Chief Minister of Telangana was silent on the illegal excavation of Krishna water from Andhra Pradesh’s Pothireddypadu Head Regulator by Rayalaseema.
Laxmaiah stated that around 200 TMC of water was diverted. Though Andhra Pradesh says that this will increase the consumption of Pothireddypadu regulator from 44,000 cusecs per day to 84,000 cusecs per day, to which the Telangana government did not respond.
According to the report, Telangana a supposed to get only about 400 TMC of water from the Srisailam reservoir, but the AP government rejected this due to excess water.
