Two minor Dalit girls were found dead, along with a third girl, also a minor, in a severe condition in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The reports revealed that the three girls left their house to bring feed for cattle but did not return. After waiting for a long time, their family and other natives of the village had searched for the girls and found them in a field.
According to reports, the two girls, who were dead, were aged 13 and 16, while the third girl was 17 years old. The villagers passed the information to the police and rushed the girls to a hospital. Upon arrival, two girls were declared dead while one was taken to the Unnao hospital for treatment. The bodies have been sent for postmortem and an investigation is underway.
The police suspect that it caused because of poisoning and there were no signs of struggle at the site. Reports say that police found no injury marks on the girls. However, the girls’ brother alleged the girls had been found with their hands and feet tied up.
