We already reported that Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society (JHCHBS) president & TV5 MD Ravindranath was booked under various sections for alleged irregularities in society land. Without the knowledge of the Society members, he sold 365 yards of land to a woman named Parvati Devi for a low valuation.
Now, Ravindranath, who responded to this issue, denied the allegations and tried to defend his mistake by asserting he did everything rightfully. He claimed the land, which he sold to Parvati Devi, was not utilized by any of the society members so far. In order to flee from the bad image, Ravindranath said Devi had applied for this land in 2005 and only after considering this, it was allotted to her. He also put the blame on the government for hiking market rates.
Calling it a false case, Ravindranath said his committee had done nothing compared to what the old committee had done. He even blamed the police for filing an FIR against him and said he will approach the court over this issue.
During the election campaign, Ravindranath’s panel announced that they will upload all the details transparently on the website and said a white paper would be released timely. But after coming to the power, they clearly failed to fulfil their promises and even forgot what they guaranteed.
It is heard that Ravindranath is using his channel reporters to cover up the truth, and he has not even invited other channels journalists to his press meet.
Meanwhile, Rajendra Prasad Vankayalapati, head of the Housing Society Legal Committee, said that the newly elected panel had done nothing wrong and that all the mistakes had been made by the old panel itself. He went on to say that the old panel sold 365 yards of land to Parvati Devi.
However, Rajendra Prasad said the old panel was responsible for all the irregularities in the JHCHBS. But how convincing it is to say that the old panel was to be held responsible even after taking the power from them. By the time the new panel was formed, Ravindranath and his co claimed that the society was filled with irregularities. But it is surprising to see the new panel doing nothing to change the old panels alleged mistakes. He even said that Telangana is a pile of debt. Now, the society members are opining why he had joined and ruining JHCHBS when he has this kind of intention about the state.
