Right after the by-election was announced in Huzurnagar constituency, several anticipated that the major fight would be between the Congress and TRS parties.
Uttam Kumar Reddy has been representing the Hand symbol party in the constituency for the past 10 years. On the other hand, TRS has been facing a severe negativity for the past few days, due to the untimely TSRTC strike. So, it was anticipated that the ruling party would face a major jolt in Huzurnagar.
But nothing could stop the victory of TRS in the constituency. With 40000 plus votes majority, ruling party candidate Saidi Reddy has won the election over Uttam’s wife Padmavthi, like a boss.

A powerful and senior leader like Uttam Kumar Reddy has won the election with 7466 votes majority in the 2018 general election against Saidi Reddy. But he shifted to Lok Sabha after winning in the recent LS election.
Uttam then considered his wife Padmavathi as the right option to contest in Huzurnagar, anticipating that his craze would help her win the seat. But Saidi Reddy jolting Uttam’s wife with 43,284 majority votes, is something that is shocking the political circles now.
More than the opposition parties, the victory of TRS is now worrying the TSRTC employees, who have been going against the state government, for the past 20 days.
