Sanjay Kumar, who won as a TRS MLA from Jagitial constituency in the Telangana assembly elections held last year, said that he is ready to sacrifice his post for Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister KCR.
Kavitha, who recently contested as an MP from Nizamabad constituency had to face a miserable defeat over there, in the hands of a BJP candidate. The defeat of CM’s daughter has shocked the TRS circles. While there was a news that KCR is trying to induct Kavitha into his cabinet, now Sanjay Kumar’s announcement has come as a shocker.
The Jagitial MLA said that he is ready to resign for his MLA post if public elects Kavitha as a new MLA and send her to the assembly.
As PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy is going to resign as an MLA from Huzoornagar, as he got elected as an MP, there was a demand for Kavitha, to contest from the constituency. But the CM’s daughter seems reluctant to contest from there. It should be seen whether TRS circles nominate her as an MLA candidate from Jagitial or not.
Kavitha lost in Nizamabad constituency with a huge margin of 68000 votes. BJP candidate Dharmapuri Aravind has been elected as a new MP from the constituency. Turmeric farmers went against KCR’ daughter, as she failed in bringing a minimum support price for the turmeric crops.
