In a significant development, Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has been entrusted with the esteemed position of chairman at TTD. As the tenure of the outgoing Chairman YV Subba Reddy is scheduled to end on the 8th of August, the spotlight now shifts to Karunakar Reddy, handpicked by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
A veteran of TTD affairs, Karunakar Reddy previously held the reins of this prestigious board from 2006 to 2008 during the tenure of the late Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Hailing from Eedarapalle in the Nandalur mandal of Kadapa district, Karunakar Reddy has been elected as the MLA from Tirupati in 2012 and 2019.
Karunakar Reddy expressed his gratitude to CM Jagan for entrusting him with the responsibility of heading the TTD board once again, after a hiatus of 15 eventful years.
