For the first time in the history of MAA, as many as five people are fielding their candidature. Manchu Vishnu, Prakash Raj, Hema, and Jeevitha Rajasekhar are the main candidates in the elections.
Earlier today, MAA general body held a virtual meeting to discuss the latest developments in regard to MAA elections. The general body fixed the timeline for MAA elections.
“It is being demanded that the elections should be held in three weeks from now, but that isn’t possible, given the Covid situation. If anything, the elections can be held by the end of September or mid-October. The final call on the exact date will be taken in a couple of weeks from now,” the body decided.
Prakash Raj said it is not fair to postpone the elections further and opined that the elections should be held in less than three weeks from now.
Mohan Babu said everyone in MAA is a genius and no one is in a position to take any lectures from other individuals. He too said that the elections should be held sooner rather than later.
