For a few weeks now, the post of the PCC Chief of Telangana has been empty, after the last Chief had resigned his post after the dismal performance of the Congress in the Dubbaka by-elections.
Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy‘s name has been doing rounds for a few days now, about him being the next Chief of the PCC. There have been several oppositions to Revanth Reddy potentially being appointed as the Chief of PCC.
Now, senior leader V Hanumantha Rao has said that he would quit Congress in case Revanth is made the party President. V Hanumantha Rao has also said that it is not right to appoint someone like Revanth Reddy as the President when there are better options like himself, Jagga Reddy and Komatireddy.
Furthermore, Hanumantha Rao has also said that Revanth Reddy has not been of any use to the party ever since he joined the Congress. He also said that Revanth enjoyed during the movement for Telangana, as he was a part of the TDP back then, when other Congress loyalists had gone to jail for supporting the Telangana movement.
Hanumantha Rao also said that Revanth is the worst choice to be the President as Revanth destroyed TDP after changing his alliance, despite the TDP contributing the most to Revanth’s political career.
