The YSRCP government has been repeatedly telling the people of Andhra Pradesh that it would soon give away the documents to the housing lands that it has allocated to the poor. However, this hasn’t come to fruition in all this time. Some or the other reason has been stated in all this time, as the cause for the delay in distributing the relevant papers to those who are entitled to them.
Jagan had also promised that these housing lands would be given on the names of the women of the family. With the delay in the giving away of these papers, Jagan apologised to all women, by calling them sisters. Speaking to the media recently, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the main reason for the government not being able to give away the registered land documents is because of the legal discrepancies and hurdles that the previous government has left the current government with.
Jagan also said that he has complete faith in the Supreme Court of India, and that he firmly believes that justice will be done to those who are entitled to it. He added that the YSRCP government would make sure good quality houses will be built for all hte entitled 31 lakh families before the YSRCP’s tenure is over, unlike the TDP, which had constructed just a few houses, right before the general elections last year.
It is now to be seen if the government will indeed live up to its promise at least now, or if things will remain to be wherever they are, with the government continuing to blame others for the delays.
