Being the immediate film of Prabhas after the massive Baahubali, there were huge expectations on Saaho. But shockingly, the film could not live up to any such expectations and had to secure a negative talk, right from the first show on the release day. However, the weekend and festival holidays, helped the film to get a massive revenue and is able to near the break even now.
So the makers are now on a spree of promoting the film on a regular basis. As an attempt of similar kind, director Sujeeth said that a person from Bihar called and said that they would have constructed a temple for Prabhas, if he was born in their state. There is already a tradition of constructing the temples for the film stars in Tamil Nadu. Even the heroines like Khushboo, Namitha enjoy such divine worship from their fans.
But there is no such stunt in Telugu film industry. There are no temples for even for the biggest Super Stars of TFI like Sr NTR, Chiranjeevi etc. Shakalaka Shankar earlier announced to construct a temple for Pawan Kalyan. But there is no update from him as of yet.
So if Prabhas gets a temple under his name, for his pan-India image, it may be a Baahubalian victory of the star. But not many Telugu people may appreciate the move of worshiping the film stars.
