In a distressing incident, Telugu origin girl, Sriya Avasarala has sadly passed away in a fatal car accident in the USA. Two other Indians were also killed in the accident that claimed three lives.
An accident on May 14th in Alpharetta claimed the lives of three University of Georgia students. The cause of the accident is suspected to be overspeed, however the matter is under investigation.
Eighteen-year-old Sriya Avasarala, an honors student at UGA, was among those killed. Five people were traveling in the car at the time of the accident. Aryan Joshi (18) and Sriya Avasarala died instantly, while Anvi Sharma (18) succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a hospital.
Rithwak Somepalli (18), who was driving the car, and another passenger, Mohammed Liyakath (18), were also involved in the crash. However, their current conditions have not yet known.
