The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday arrested Telugu actress Naira Shah of Burra Katha fame for allegedly consuming drugs. The actress and her friend Ashiq Sajid Husain were found at a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai.
As per reports, the NCB searched the hotel room in the wee hours of the morning based on a tip-off and recovered one gram of Charas that was rolled into cigarettes during the search.
The Police officials claimed that Naira Shah celebrated her birthday at the hotel Sunday night. After the party, she and her friend went to their suit. Around one gram of Charas, rolled into cigarettes, was found in their room.
Both the actress and her friend have been charged under the National Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act for alleged drug consumption. However, they both got bail on Monday. The police are now investigating to find out the source of drugs.
