It is known that the central government has granted full capacity in cinema halls after the coronavirus cases in India consistently declined. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had already released guidelines for reopening of theatres, allowing them to operate at full capacity from February 1.
In a major relief to the Telugu film industry, the Telangana government on Thursday lifted the 50% cap on seating in theatres & multiPlexes and permitted the big screens to run with 100% capacity. The Telangana government released the GO on February 4 regarding the same.
Staggered show timings and digital booking of tickets are advised to avoid crowding at the premises of cinemas. The Centre had earlier asked theatres to ensure proper crowd management and to restrict the number of people in elevators. Cinemas have also been asked to control the temperature inside halls and keep it between 24°C and 30°C.
