After decades of battle for justice, finally the Telanganiites were able to achieve Telangana as a separate state and June 2, 2014 is being celebrated as the Telangana formation day every year.
Though Congress granted Telangana, it still couldn’t promote it properly, due to which, TRS party was successful in gaining the credit for Telangana.
Thus, TRS emerged as the super power in the last five years and was able to rule the state, with no strong oppositions. KCR was reelected as the Chief Minister for the second time, due to the tremendous progress, he was able to showcase to the public in the last five years.
With a short span of time, the Telangana state was able to attract the attention of the Centre and also other states, with its phenomenal growth. The TRS government was able to witness a positive change in several issues like poverty, women, business atmosphere etc.
KCR government’s development is evident in several parameters like the rise in per capita income, Ease of Doing Business, GSDP and SOTR growth rates, TS-iPASS industrial policy, particularly the marginalized sections through generous pensions, farm and rural sectors development and economic empowerment through program like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and health initiatives like KCR Kits and Kanti Velugu, etc.
Kaleshwaram project is another massive achievement of TRS government in the last five years. The project was started with a promise of irrigating over one crore acre of land in the once perennially drought-hit State, with complementary efforts in the power sector to match the energy requirements.
The TRS government was thus able to gain the confidence among the people and is hinting that no other party would be able to form the government in the state, in the near future. While Andhra parties like TDP, YSRCP were completely out of the state, BJP and Congress were able to perform good in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
