Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the Chief Ministers of all the states and reviewed the Covid vaccination process. This is the first time Modi interacted with CMs after the vaccination started in India. The Union Health Ministry said that Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh are the top three states in wasting corona vaccine.
According to the Union govt, corona vaccine wastage was 17.6 percent in Telangana, 11.6 percent in Andhra Pradesh, and in Uttar Pradesh, 9.4 percent is wasted. However, the Centre’s regulations state that there is no objection if 10 percent of the vaccine doses become useless.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Modi showered praises on Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra for making good progress in organizing the vaccination drive.
