The makers of RRR had recently stuck a record-breaking deal for the satellite and digital rights of the film. As per reports, the satellite and digital rights of the Rajamouli directorial are said to have fetched around Rs 260 crores which is the highest for any Indian film till date.
However, the producers are not fully satisfied with the massive deal and are expecting an even better offer.
Apparently, the makers of the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer have principally agreed to sell the digital and satellite rights for Rs 260 cores. But they did not sign an agreement up until now. Just as everything was consolidating and a contract was about to be signed, the makers received an even bigger offer for the rights from other digital and satellite platforms.
Now, the makers have asked the companies that they are currently in agreement with to better their offer. They want a lot more than Rs 260 crores now.
RRR is well and truly on course to register the highest ever pre-release business for any Indian film till date.
The big-budget action thriller is slated for theatrical release on 13th of October. DVV Danayya is bankrolling the project.
