Veteran actor Karthik, who has featured in over 125 films, has been hospitalised in Chennai after complaining of difficulty in breathing on Saturday evening. He is admitted to ICU in a non-Covid ward at the hospital as he tested negative for Coronavirus.
As per reports, the actor-turned-politician was campaigning for the BJP-AIADMK alliance when he had fallen sick. He felt a shortness of breath and was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital.
Several celebrities and colleagues in the industry have been wishing for his speedy recovery. An official statement regarding his health condition is awaited.
On the movie front, Karthik is currently shooting for the Tamil remake of the hit Bollywood film, Andhadhun. He is also working on another Tamil film titled Thee Ivan.
