The Telugu Desam Party witnessed a very highly disappointing failure in the last general elections, after it lost out with a huge margin. The YSRCP won with a staggering majority, leaving out very few seats for the TDP.
With the Tirupati Legislative seat now coming up for by-elections, the TDP is moving all of its pieces well in advance to make sure that it makes a strong comeback in Tirupati. The TDP has already even announced its candidate, in Panabaka Lakshmi.
Even before the election notification has been released, the TDP has employed people to take care of the elections in Tirupati. Polling Centers, panchayats zones, assembly zones, mandals, and parliamentary zones – all of these areas are being concentrated by the TDP on a very minute level. As many as 9143 people have been appointed by the TDP, so that every single voter is reached out to. All of these people are certified as safe and healthy as well.
Campaigning for the by-elections on behalf of the TDP is in full swing as well, even before the election notification has been released. According to the latest reports, the elections for the Tirupati seat might be conducted in the months of February or March.
Members of the TDP are expecting the anti-government sentiment to work in theri favor in the upcoming by-elections in Tirupati. If this works out for them, then the TDP will have greater chances to look at the next general elections, in a more positive angle.
