Recently, the TDP MLC BTech Ravi, who was arrested in the Pulivendula riots case in 2018, was produced before the Pulivendula Magistrate by the police. The court sentenced BTech Ravi to 14 days remand and he was shifted to Kadapa Central Jail. Meanwhile, a warrant against BTech Ravi regarding the riots and clashes at the Poola Angallu area of Pulivendula in 2018 is still pending.
In 2018, violent incidents were triggered by the challenges and counter challenges by YSRCP and TDP members. SI Chiranjeevi was injured in these riots. Under section Indian Penal Code 307, attempt to murder cases has been registered against BTech Ravi and 63 others by the police. He was arrested at the Chennai airport on Sunday.
