It is a matter of huge prestige and honor for any political party’s president, and Chief Ministerial candidate to ensure that his cabinet ministers get the people’s vote in their respective constituencies. Telangana Chief Minister KCR has managed to ensure this happens during the last two elections, with a majority of his cabinet ministers winning in the polls. However, it looks like that may not be the case this time around.
It is being said that as many as 11 out of 17 cabinet candidates might not win in their constituencies this year, with the people reportedly wanting to see some change. K T Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, T Srinivas Yadav, S Niranjan Reddy, and Ch Malla Reddy are the only people expected to win in their constituencies.
In fact, KCR himself is expected to win from Kamareddy but not from Gajwel. As per reports, Jagadish Reddy and Vemula Prashant Reddy, Srinivas Goud, and Sabita Indra Reddy are also expected to lose, with the only exception being speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy. As such, KCR is said to be trying very hard and coming up with alternative plans, including spending a lot of money to lure the people towards the BRS, to ensure that the party wins in all of those constituencies. Let’s see what will happen.
