The pre-release event of the upcoming film Takkar, featuring Siddharth and Divyansha Kaushik, took place in Hyderabad tonight, for which several dignitaries, including producer Suresh Babu, directors Tharun Bhasker, Bommarillu Bhaskar and Venkatesh Maha were present. Takkar is directed by Karthik G Krish and is released in Telugu under the Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner and People’s Media Factory banner. The film is all set to be released on June 9th.

Producer Suresh Babu wished the entire team of Takkar all the very best and hoped the film would do well at the box office. Tharun Bhasker also expressed the same belief.

Talking about the film, producer Vishwa Prasad said that the first film that he saw of Siddharth when he was living in the USA, was Bommarillu and that he’s always watched Siddharth’s films in theatre since then. He said that he hopes Takkar will be a good hit in Telugu. Producer Abhishek Aggarwal also said that he hopes the film will turn out to be a good hit in Telugu.

Director Karthik G Krish, who worked as an assistant director near Shankar, spoke at length in Telugu, saying that he’s confident the Telugu audiences will enjoy Takkar, as it’s a film with a very good concept. He said that this is his first film in Telugu and that he hopes the Telugu audiences will welcome and love him just the way they have welcomed and loved his guru, director Shankar, with open arms.

Leading lady Divyansha Kaushik said she’s happy to be a part of this project, and hopes the film will do well at the box office.

Siddharth had a lot to say on the occasion and started off by thanking the Telugu audiences for their constant love and support for him. He said that the audiences will see him in a new avatar in the film, where he will be seen as a rugged lover boy. He said the director managed to show him in a never before seen avatar in the film. Siddharth went on to talk about his long-standing association and love for Telugu cinema. He said that he’s fortunate to have interacted with the legendary producer Ramanaidu several times, and for interacting with him on a very deep level. He thanked Suresh Babu, the son of Ramanaidu, for blessing the entire team of Takkar, with his presence at the event. Siddharth then went on to say that there’s not been any distance between him and the Telugu audience and that he’s always been willing, and will forever be willing to be a part of Telugu cinema. He promised to come up with 6 films in the next 18 months and said that this is the first celebration ahead of the many more celebrations that are yet to come. He concluded by saying he hopes the audiences will love and watch Takkar in theatres on June 9th.
