Team India management is planning to rest some players in the wake of players desperately playing cricket ever since IPL season last year. A total of eight players, including Team India star opener Rohit Sharma, Washington Sundar, and Rishabh Pant, will be rested for the three-match ODI series against England.
The decision has been made as the players have been confined to bio-bubbles and are at risk of serious psychological problems.
The pacer Jasprit Bumrah on the special request has already left the team and the team management is reportedly planning to rest some more star players. Bumrah will also miss the ODI and T20 series, including the fourth Test. The ODI series between India and England will be played on March 23, 26 and 28.
Aside from the ICC World Test Championship final, the team has England and South Africa tour along with a T20 World Cup at home.
