Sunrisers Hyderabad is still alive in the playoff race of IPL 2020. They have won tonight’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets. All they have to do is to win the next game so that they can cruise into the playoffs. In this low-scoring game, RCB made a mere total of 120, all thanks to a fantastic effort from Sunrisers bowlers like Sandeep Sharma (2/20), Rashid Khan (1/24), Jason Holder (2/27) and T Natarajan (1/11). Sunrisers have carefully chased this total with the help of Wriddhiman Saha (39), Manish Pandey (26) and Jason Holder (26*).
After winning the toss, David Warner elected to bowl first. His bowlers gave him a stunning start by dismissing Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli in the powerplay. Then, AB de Villiers and Josh Phillippe tried to build a good partnership. When they were looking dangerous, Nadeem got the wicket of ABD. In the very next over, Philippe got dismissed by Rashid Khan. After that, no other batsmen stood up for RCB. On the flip side, SRH bowlers were successful in taking wickets in the regular intervals. By the end of 20 overs, RCB managed to score 120/7.
SRH got an early blow while chasing this total as captain David Warner got out in the second over. Then, Manish Pandey and Wriddhiman Saha made a partnership of 50 runs for the second wicket. After that, Chahal gave a breakthrough for RCB by dismissing the dangerous looking Manish Pandey. Soon, they also got the wickets of Saha and Williamson as well. When SRH seemed to be in trouble, Jason Holder and Abhishek Sharma toned down the pressure by hitting a few boundaries. Even though Abhishek fell, Holder stayed till the end to finish the things for Sunrisers. Thus, they scored 121/5 in just 14.1 overs.
