Star Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his hit films like “Khaidi,” “Master,” and “Vikram,” has a massive fan following comparable to top South Indian actors. However, he recently made headlines by expressing his intention to quit social media.
In a recent interview while promoting his latest movie, “Leo,” Lokesh revealed that he’s disheartened by the excessive hate and trolling he faces due to fan wars on social platforms.
He mentioned how fans aggressively defend their favorite actors’ box office performance, often turning it into an ugly battle, with many tagging him in their posts. The director receives thousands of such posts daily, making him contemplate leaving social media.
Despite his significant online presence, Lokesh clarified that he’s only on social media to support newcomers and low-budget films. He emphasized that social media should be a form of entertainment and not a battleground. Lokesh’s latest film, “Leo,” starring Thalapathy Vijay, has already made waves with a record-breaking opening day collection at the global box office.
