YS Sharmila didn’t make much noise after her Khamman rally and ‘Deeksha’ at Indira park, demanding for better employment rates for the youth of Telangana. The main reason for this would be the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which has limited everyone to their homes. Sharmila wasn’t so active on her social media profile all these days either, except for a tweet here and a tweet there.
Sharmila has now announced that she would carry out an ‘Odarpu Yatra’ (a consolation tour for the bereaved families) in Gajwel of Siddipet districts, and talk to all those families whose members committed suicide due to unemployment. She announced that she would carry out this Odarpu Yatra on Wednesday, and her followers are making the necessary arrangements for her arrival.
Sharmila reportedly wants to remind the people of Telangana that the employment rate for the youth of Telangana hasn’t become any better despite the formation of Telangana seven years ago. It is going to be interesting to see how Sharmila fares in Gajwel, which happens to be Chief Minister KCR’s assembly constituency.
On the other hand, it is interesting to note that Sharmila chose June 2nd to get back into action once again, as the official launch date of her party happens to be June 8th. Moreover, June 2nd also happens to be Telangana formation day.
