Sankranthi festival is the most sought season for filmmakers to release their movies as equally by the audience to watch them. That being said, this Sankranthi is going to be a feast for the audience with huge films slated for release.Last year, it was between Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. This year, its going to be between Prabhas-Mahesh-Ram Charan. Let’s dig into the details.

Pooja Hegde and current sensation Sreeleela are playing the female leads and S Thaman is the music composer. This is the third collaboration of Mahesh and Trivikram after ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’.
Game Changer
Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ in the direction of renowned director Shankar is set to arrive in the Sankranthi season as well. It has Kiara Advani in the female lead and Thaman is scoring the music. Produced by Dil Raju’s Shri Venkateshwara Creations, the movie is carrying huge expectations.
Undoubtedly, Sankranthi season is the best time to release a movie in theatres for the vibe it carries. The family audience move to theatres and the occupancy will be high. But whats happening to the business when there are not enough theatres to be allotted to each film? What happens when a big-budgeted movie doesn’t get enough theatres to release? There is every reason for a producer to look for the season’s advantage, but, does that mean that its the only time to release? Movies with good content obviously hits bull’s eye irrespective of the release time. Fans consider this to be a war between the stars. Is this going to be a blessing or a curse to producers? Last year’s hits like Sita Ramam, KGF2, Pushpa, Bheemla Nayak, Major, Bimbisara, Dhamaka, Kantara etc are the right examples of this. Let’s hope the makers are more concerned about the quality of content rather than rushing towards a release season
