South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s highly ambitious film ‘Shaakuntalam’, directed by Guna Shekar, is now all set for a grand release worldwide.
The periodic love drama film, based on Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam’, will arrive in theatres on February 17 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages in 3D.
It is known that Shaakuntalam has been in the news for a long time and has generated a good buzz among cine buffs. With the date for the release being set, the makers will soon kickstart the promotions in a great way.
While Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is playing the lead role opposite Samantha, the movie also stars Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in pivotal roles. Bankrolled under Gunaa Teamworks in collaboration with Sri Venkateswara Creations, Shaakuntalam has music composed by melody Brahma Manisharma.
