YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju spends most of his time criticising his own party, rather than supporting it. The newest item that RRR is behind is the preservation of Kapuluppada.
The Thotlakonda Buddhist complex in Visakhapatnam was declared as a historical site in 1978, and Kapuluppada is situated very close by to Thotlakonda. RRR has written a letter to the Union Minister of Culture, requesting him to declare Kapuluppada as a historic site as well.
The Jagan government has bought several lands in Visakhapatnam in its attempt of making the city the Executive capital of Andhra Pradesh. Kapuluppada is one such area where the government has started the construction of several buildings for the development of the capital in the city. RRR has now requested the Central government to make sure that all of these constructions are put to an end very soon.
More than 250 acres of land has been bought by the government in Kapuluppada and construction work has already started in the place as well. In his letter, RRR also stated that the Supreme Court said taht 300 KM from Thotlakonda was also supposed to be considered as a protected and historic zone, and that no other works were supposed to take place in the area, in 1978.
