YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is highly famous for his snide remarks and controversial remarks on his own party, and the Chief Minister of the state, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The party has tried to wash its hands off him, but that has not happened, and no matter what, RRR doesn’t seem to be taking a step back, regarding his comments, no matter the cost.
RRR is mostly confined to staying either in Delhi or in Hyderabad, and rarely ever visits his constituency of Narasapuram. He has tried to go to Narasapuram several times in the past, but this has not worked out for several reasons. Last week, RRR wanted to visit Narasapuram, but couldn’t go through with the plan, as he got intelligence reports of cases being filed against him.
RRR alleged that YV Subba Reddy and Minister Ranganatha Raju made sure that SC/ST atrocity cases are filed against RRR. He said that these both got the cases filed by members belonging to the SC/ST community, from YSRCP itself.
Interestingly, though RRR did not go to Narasapuram, protests were carried out in front of the police station, with people shouting slogans like Go Back Raghu Ramakrishna Raju. RRR said that this is the biggest proof of a conspiracy going on against him.
RRR filed several complaints and a privilege notice to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, against several leaders of the YSRCP, and against the DGP of Andhra Pradesh as well. The Secretariat of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha will forward the complaint to the Union Home Ministry, which will look into, and investigate the case.
The Union Home Ministry has been asked to provide a detailed report on the case within 14 days and also asked this report be sent to RRR as well.
What’s important to be noted here is that the Union Home Ministry doesn’t directly investigate matters like this, and usually forwards it to the state.
Even if the matter is not forwarded to the state, CM Jagan has more power in Delhi when compared to RRR. No matter what, situations look more favourable for the YSRCP than RRR. It is now to be seen what will happen.
