IPL 2020: RR Vs SRH match analysis: Tewatia Does It for Rajasthan Yet Again

Once again, we witnessed a spectacular show from Rahul Tewatia. He is showing what a valuable player he is for Rajasthan Royals. Tewatia (45*) and Riyan Parag (42*)’s sensational knocks helped Rajasthan Royals to win against Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets. For Sunrisers, it was Manish Pandey (54) and David Warner (48) who have put up a good show.

SRH’s captain David Warner won the toss and chose to bat first. Unlike the last match, SRH had a slow start this time due to the pitch conditions. Moreover, Jonny Bairstow fell pretty early into the innings. Later, Warner and Manish Pandey settled things for SRH. They tried to score by not taking any risks. After a 73-run stand, David Warner fell in the bowling of Jofra Archer. Meanwhile, Manish completed his second half-century of the season. In the backend of the innings, Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg played well and gave SRH a defendable score of 158 for the loss of four wickets.

RR fumbled once again while chasing a modest total of 160. Ben Stokes, who opened the innings, got out in the second over. Steve Smith and Jos Buttler went back to the pavilion in the fourth and fifth overs respectively. After that, Robin Uthappa showed some sparks but left too soon. The entire responsibility fell on Sanju Samson. But, Rashid Khan removed him and almost confirmed SRH’s victory. That’s when Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag came in and shifted the match to their side. They were playing slowly until the 15th over and then went berserk. In the end, both of them chased the total in 19.5 overs by scoring 163/5.
