The much-awaited first edition of the Road Safety World Series that was halted in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be resumed from March 5.
The tournament will have teams including India Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, South Africa Legends and West Indies Legends. The Australian Legends opted out of the game and England Legends and Bangladesh Legends joins the series filling their void.
The first match is scheduled on March 5 between Indian Legends and Bangladesh Legends at the newly built 65,000 capacity Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The semi-finals will be played on March 17 and 19, followed by the final of the marquee event on March 21. Cricket fans across the world will once again see superstars of yesteryears in action.
An array of legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Kevin Peterson, Bret Lee, Brian Lara, Muttiah Muralitharan and Jonty Rhodes, among others, will be back on the field for the action.
