Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s statement on the privatization of the Visakhapatnam steel factory has led to large-scale protests and agitations in Visakhapatnam. Former minister and recently resigned TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao responded in this regard.
Former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that people from all over Andhra should unite and fight over the privatization of the Visakhapatnam steel plant. Speaking to the media, the Ganta criticized the YCP for misleading the protestors of the Vizag steel plant. Recently, the Union Finance Minister made it clear that there will be no equity of the Andhra Pradesh govt in the Vizag steel plant. He said the resignation of state ministers is the only solution to stop privatization. Also, Ganta said that TDP would not give competition if the ministers resign.
In the past, Chandrababu also said that he would work with the CM if Jagan fights against privatization. Ganta said AP BJP leaders should ask the central government to take back its decision.
