The Bharatiya Janatha Party’s graph in Telangana elections represents a hill as they won the majority of Parliamentary seats from nowhere and then slipped low in the recent municipal elections. Many people in the party opine that the improper leadership is one of the problems in the party and the high command is looking for some one to replace the present Party president Lakshman.
Many people are in the contest for the president post so that they can increase their importance in the state and mileage for their career as the BJP is in the power at the center. Finally, it comes down to Amit Shah and some sources say that he is considering the name of Mahaboob Nagar M.P Jintender Reddy for the BJP presidential.
Jitender has some good connections with many prominent leaders in Delhi and has a good track record in his district. Especially in Mahaboob Nagar, he is the one who united all the BJP leaders and leads them at the will of the center.
Though he is the prime contender, he will face some tough competition from DK Aruna. She started her political career from Congress, later shifted to TRS and finally settled in BJP. Her grip on the political ongoings in the state would help to strengthen the party cadre as well.
Still, it is Amit Shah’s call and for now, Jitender is the front runner in this race.
