Dusky actress Payal Rajput, who made her Tollywood debut with Rx 100, stunned everyone with her striking performance in Venkatesh-Naga Chaitanya’s Venky Mama.
Now, Payal who was seen in glamorous roles till now is gearing up to play a fearless cop in her next outing 5Ws (Who, Where, When, What and Why). It is known that the first look of this film was launched recently.
Touted to be a crime thriller, 5Ws is being directed by PranadeepThakur, who earlier worked with Gunsekhar for several films. Yashoda Thakur will produce this film on Kyvalya Creations banner.
While she plays a gritty cop for the first time in her career, Payal Rajput revealed that yesteryears actress Vijayashanthi was her inspiration.
“I was inspired by Vijayashanti garu. I have seen her cop films. Also, I watched a few English and Bollywood films to get my body language right,” the RX 100 actress explains, adding that she even spoke to some friends who were police officers.
“This role is a complete makeover compared to my earlier films. Also, this role gave me a lot of scope to shed my inhibitions,” the Venky Mama star said. She went on to reveal that the film would have several twists and turns.
